The Holy Qur’an
The Qur’an is the word of Allah revealed in Arabic to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is the most important source of guidance in faith, worship, and daily life.
Kinyarwanda Translation: An official translation of the meanings of the Qur’an is published by the Rwanda Muslim Association. This allows Kinyarwanda-speakers to understand the message more clearly while studying.
The Hadith
Records of the sayings, actions, and approvals of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They are considered the second major source of Islamic teachings, guiding Muslims in practicing their faith.
Local Study: Popular collections, such as the 40 Hadith of Imam An-Nawawi, have been translated into Kinyarwanda, enabling youth and learners in Rwanda to study the Prophet's ﷺ teachings in their native language.
